Are you looking for a new workout, lifestyle, and supportive community? Pure Barre might be the thing for you. It was founded by choreographer, dancer and fitness expert Carrie Rezabek Dorr back in 2001 and is gaining a ton of popularity throughout the U.S. and Canada. If you are looking for an enjoyable way to tone up with great people, we suggest trying a class. The first one is free!
What is it?
Pure Barre is a highly effective total body workout that uses a ballet barre. If you take a class you do small movements that both burn fat and sculpts muscles.
How does a class go down?
Every studio offers a variety of classes with different focuses, themes, and levels of difficulty. Every class includes certain elements. There is a warm-up in the center of the room, standing while lifting weights, using the barre to work on your thighs and butt, seated ab exercises and finally a cool down. The flow of the class might seem crazy in words, but if you do it, it is lovely.
What To Wear And What To Bring
You should wear anything comfortable, pants, leggings, capris, they all work! You’ll want a shirt that covers your midriff and if you can, wear sticky socks. They aren’t absolutely necessary, but helpful! Besides that, all the equipment is in the studio, so just bring yourself, your outfit, and your water bottle!
