Yet another couple who had no idea what they would find in their new house is Linda and Wally DeForest. Linda was unpacking stuff in the basement when she made a really intriguing discovery. Calling her husband, she told him she had found a torpedo in the basement. Although Wally was rather skeptical about that, as one would expect, he still checked it out. It turns out his wife was right.

The Green Torpedo
The big, green torpedo was right in their basement. They learned from an army veteran that it was around for a mortar or an anti-tank weapon possibly from the Korean or Vietnam War. In the end, the couple contacted the authorities, who came to their house and take the torpedo away. When the pair asked how the torpedo could have ended up in their basement, the answer given to them was that there are some people who like keeping torpedoes as souvenirs.
