In 1963, one homeowner who was working on some renovations for his house knocked down a wall which gave him access to a hidden room. This discovery is already exciting on its own, but he found one more and then another one! He practically found a whole underground city. One of the 20th century’s most impressive and weirdest archeological discoveries, Derinkuyu is an old city that was created with a massive network of underground tunnels. They actually homed the Hittites.
